To focus the list of parks you can use the neighborhood list. The neighborhood list has been limited to general neighborhood names and some neighborhoods have been grouped to make searching for parks easier. This step is optional.

All parks have been listed alphabetically and by official and known alternate names. For example Mission Dolores Park is also known as Dolores Park. If you find that your park is not listed please contact ParkScan immediately and let us know what you think your park is called and the cross streets.

If a map is available for your park you can specify the location by moving the cursor over the map and clicking on the location of your observation. A yellow dot will mark you location on the map. To change location move cursor and click again.

If a map is not available, or if you'd like to provide additional location information, you can use the text box to describe the location in the park where you observed the condition you are reporting. Please be as specific as possible, including the estimated proximity to a landmark, such as a playground, drinking fountain, corner of the park or street intersection.

All features in a park fit into one of the first three categories. For observations on recreational programming, compliments and general comments please pick the appropriate selection. Make sure that you select the most appropriate selection to ensure that your observation is directed to the appropriate responsible unit.

The list of features that you see is dependent on the category that you select. If you do not see a feature that you wish to send an observation about, please try selecting another category. You will not be prompted for a feature if you selected recreational programming, compliments or general comments under "category".

Attaching photos to your observation is as easy as using any web based email service. To attach you photos, click on the browse button and search your computer for the jpeg image file you need. Select it and click open. Attach up to three images. Once you have selected your images click on the attach photo button.

If you have more than one observation to send click on "More" and your screen will refresh to a blank form. If you are done, click on "Finished".
